Hello,

My goal is to raise at least $3,000 for Roswell Park this year with your help.  Any donation, large or small, is appreciated.  Together, we can help find cancer cures and save lives.  The money we raise will help Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center physicians and researchers better understand the causes of cancer and discover new methods of prevention, diagnosis and treatment.  

It would be nice if we could all say that we do not know anyone who has been touched by cancer.  Unfortunately, most of us have been impacted by cancer in one way or another.  My grandmother died from cancer many years ago when I was very young.  I have friends who battled this disease and won. Others fought a valiant battle only to have cancer defeat their bodies, but not their spirit, in the end.  

I first did the Ride for Roswell 28 years ago with the simple goal of raising some money to help Roswell Park find better ways to fight and treat cancer. I rode for about a dozen people that I knew that had experienced cancer in some way.  The riders on the John Newman Mission Community Team had a prayer list with almost 270 names on it in 2022.  Each name represents a family member or someone in their life who has been touched by cancer.  Although we would prefer that there would never again be a need to add more names for those newly affected by cancer, that reality is not yet here.  Please send me the names of any of your loved ones impacted by cancer that you would like added to the prayer list so that we can remember them while we ride.

PS I will be unable to ride on June 24th however I will be doing a 30 mile Ride for Roswell "proxy ride" at some point in June.
