I have been involved in the Ride for 19 years and have had wonderful donors contribute very generously. This year I am 77 and feeling well after a recent bout of Covid. Others are not so fortunate, especially those with cancer. In this year after (I hope) the pandemic we need to keep our attention on the cancer that has wracked us for so many years.
Last year was another milestone for me. I have added too many miles running and biking, to my knees. I am now recovered from a knee replacement last July. We will be out of town and I may not make it back in time for the Ride itself So Roswell has a category for virtual riders where I will be sitting. I hope that does not dampen the enthusiasm for donating to my ride. I will make it up with spinning classes that more than total the 20 mile ride I am registered for. Cancer is the issue, not my in person presence.
