Cheryl was able to raise over $92K for Cancer research during her battle with cancer. I have been feeling a push to get her to the $100K mark, something that she would be so proud of. She always wanted to fund research to not only help herself but to help others. She survived as long as she did because of research, and we were able to make lasting memories I will cherish.
So, I am reaching out on her behalf this year asking you to consider making a donation in her name so that she can reach the goal of $100K in total fundraising.
I have left her words below so you know what the Ride meant to her.
Thank You in advance !!
Barb
UPDATE: 3/12/23
Cheryl passed away peacefully today. Her long hard battle has ended. She wanted to fundraise this year knowing she probably wouldn't live to see the ride to say THANK YOU to Roswell. So PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING.
This is her story -
Last year I was given the privilege and honor of lighting the Torch at the Celebration of Hope. Will you join me by helping to fund research at Roswell Park CCC with a donation to my fundraising efforts. When I lit theTorch, my goal was to say - WE are going to light our way out of this ugliness. Funding research is the BEST way to do this.
The dollars raised for research have given me a chance to live my life and enjoy my family and friends longer. I have undergone Immunotherapy, T-Cell Therapy trials, and a Stem Cell/T-Cell Trial which I have benefitted from and these have extended my life expectancy.
Please help by donating to the Ride for Roswell in my name so we can help others have the same outcome I enjoy. Thank you everyone, every dollar counts to cure cancer.
