Cancer hit home for the Miller family in 2023.  Melissa was diagnosed with stage 4 poorly differentiated squamous cell cancer.  It is not curable, but is treatable.  She undergoes chemotherapy treatments every 3 weeks, 6 to 8 hours per treatment.  After 6 treatments, she will likely need another course of chemotherapy treatments to stop the cancer from growing and spreading.
