“Remember when thirty seemed so old? Now lookin’ back,it’s just a steppin’ stone to where we are, where we’ve been.”-Alan Jackson
This will be my first year doing the Empire State Ride. I have been following along with my dad-John Boryk and I have seen it. This isn’t just a “ride” or a “fundraiser” it is a blessing. These people that you ride with become your family. Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer. I am beyond grateful that I am able to do this ride and I am able to help those people who are fighting everyday hoping there’s answers out there. All I can do is pray-pray that this ride and all of these amazing people that help raise money, they can help provide the treatment for those who need and that those people have the answers that they have been waiting for!
“Make a difference today for someone who is fighting for their tomorrow”
With your help we can all come together and help those beat cancer! Together we can do it! We can accomplish this. This isn’t all about the riders the people around us have such a big impact on us- they constantly have our backs, pushing us through those bumps along the way and motivating us to go that extra mile. That extra mile can save someone,it might just seem like such a tiny task but in the big picture that changes everything.
It won’t be an easy journey, but with your support, I know in the end it will be worth every mile.
Funds raised through Empire State Ride fuel innovative cancer research at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, an institution recently awarded the highest possible rating — “Exceptional” — during its five-year Cancer Center Support Grant renewal. Every dollar raised leads to an additional $23 in funding from external grants and leads to breakthroughs that affect how we treat cancer everywhere.
Thank you for supporting me on this adventure!
