For me, both my parents (of blessed memory) and Sabrina's parents (her father of blessed memory) have suffered from various forms of cancer. Many dear friends and other family members are on the same list. How about yours?
Here's what's new:
Colorful Nails for Cancer Awareness: For every donation of $1,000, I will paint my nails (toenails for the first donation, fingernails for the second) in the diverse colors representing different types of cancer. It's a vibrant way to symbolize our solidarity and commitment to ending all forms of this disease.
Tutu Challenge: With each $500 contribution, I will don a tutu in the color of your choice, representing a specific cancer, for one day of the ride. It’s a unique and visible way to honor and remember those affected by cancer.
Riding for Loved Ones: For donations of $150, I will add the name of a loved one (in honor or in memory) to my list of people for whom I ride. This list, carried on my handlebars, will be my constant inspiration throughout the week-long event.
Your support has always meant the world to me, and I'm excited to see how these new challenges will unfold. Let's make the 2024 Empire State Ride an unforgettable experience, pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve together in our fight to END CANCER.
