Last year I rode my bike over 500 miles from NYC to Niagara Falls in only 7 days.
Joined by over 200 fellow riders, I made this journey to raise funds that go directly to cutting edge cancer research.
It's called the Empire State Ride, and even though I can't make the trip this year, I still want to do my part. That's why I'm participating in the Empire State Ride Long Island.
On July 22, I'm going to ride 25 miles with my friends from the Long Island Rough Riders. The funds that we raise will go to support clinical trials at Catholic Health Cancer Institutes, led in partnership with America’s first cancer center, Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, New York.
There is nobody whose life hasn't been affected by a cancer diagnosis, whether it's your own diagnosis or that of a friend or family member. Every few weeks, I read about promising breakthroughs in cancer treatments. These can only happen because of research, and that research costs a lot of money.
Please consider a small donation to help the cause, and to my friends in Long Island, I hope to see you there!
