Ride for Roswell 2024

Tour-De-Vin

The Ride for Roswell is so important to the Western New York community. We all care about making a difference in the future of cancer research and bringing an end to this devastating disease. That is why we are riding in the 2024 Ride for Roswell on June 22.

Join our team and help us reach our goal. We need your help to raise critically needed funds to support the thousands of patients that turn to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center each year.

For every dollar donated to cancer research, Roswell Park is now able to leverage an additional $23 from external grants towards that research.

Together \u2013 we can end cancer!

My Father, Vinnie Bovo was diagnosed with stage 3 prostate cancer in 2019 at 47 years old. He underwent surgery soon after to remove his prostate and the surrounding lymph nodes all while recovering from an ankle break repaired via bone screws, plates, needles, and stem cell therapy. We were fortunate to "rid the cancer" until he became septic a month later enduring a 2-month PICC line. He then recovered, healed, and rang the bell until two-years later his prostate cancer re-occurred and underwent 40 rounds of radiation. He then rang the bell again until complications from radiation arised causing (thankfully) benign tumors in his bladder which was then removed, but he soon went septic with acute kidney failure a week later. Since then, he has had clear scans and bloodwork. Despite the past five years, my dad has never spent one day without a smile on his face and trying to find the positive in all things of life. To know Vinnie is to love Vinnie and we are so happy he's still "kicking".
