I ride for Erin O'Connell. She is an amazing young woman who I had the privilege of working with while she was a student-athlete at UB. Erin is currently receiving treatment at Roswell.
Here is Erin's story:
Life is an adventure they say, and Erin O'Connell lives by those words. Traveling out west to hike or traveling to go to a concert was a usual occurrence. Everyday life was going to the gym, eating healthy, and hanging with friends. Cancer doesn't seem to care who it settles in. After a couple weeks of not feeling well Erin sought medical attention. Almost immediately the mass in her chest was diagnosed as Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma. Erin had just turned 30. Cancer doesn't care how old you are.
Thankful for the support given by friends, family, and medical professionals, Erin knows that she will find her way through this adventure and get back to life as she knew it.
