My name is David Farrell, born and raised in Buffalo. I live on Grand Island, now. Im not what you call a quitter. All through my life i have had challenges. Hand and eye coordination issues. Told i would never ride a bike or do alot of everyday things. Not only did i prove those experts wrong...i learn to ride a bike...roller skate and alot more. I even had speech problems...over came those too. Im am an asthmatic but i dont let life slow me down. So when you tell me i cant do something im gonna do. I have lost close friends...and family...thanks to cancer. So here i am stepping up...gearing up to make a difference anyway I can. This is my 4th year riding. My first year I signed for the 10 mile....but rode the 20 mile route. then i did the 30 mile. So I pushed for the 44 mile route!! This is my 2nd year aiming for the canada route!!!
Cancer doesn’t care. It doesn’t care about age. It doesn’t care about your family or friends. It doesn’t care about what it takes from us — or who it leaves behind.
But I care. I care about making a difference in the future of cancer research and bringing an end to this devastating disease. That’s why I am participating in the 2024 Ride for Roswell!
Please help me raise critically needed funds to support the thousands of patients who turn to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center for hope each year. Your donation provides funding that researchers need in order to investigate new treatment options that could save lives in our community and around the world. For every dollar donated, Roswell Park can leverage an additional $13 in new grant funding!
Please consider making a donation today to help find cures. Together, we can make a difference.
