I am excited to participate for the 7th year in The Ride For Roswell. This is much more than a bike ride for me — it’s my commitment to the fight to end cancer. I am riding in honor of my Dad as fights against duodenal cancer, a rare cancer affecting the small intestine. In 2018 he underwent a Whipple procedure at Roswell Park to remove the tumor and again in 2019 he had another operation to remove a residual lymph node. At the time of his diagnosis at the end of 2017, he was given a 30-35% 5 year survival rate and here we are 6 years later and he recently had another clean scan! Since that time, I joined the Surgical Oncology team at Roswell Park and have been lucky enough to take care of patients going through the same journey for the past 4+ years. My goal is to continue to fund research in order to make advancements in medicine and steps closer to a cure.
You can make a difference in the fight against cancer by supporting my fundraising efforts. In fact, for every dollar donated, Roswell Park can leverage an additional $13 in new grant funding!
Please consider making a donation today to help me reach (and exceed) my fundraising goal. Together, we can help find cancer cures and save lives.
