This is a heartfelt "THANK YOU" to my gracious friends for your continued support of my philanthropic endeavors.
This will be the 8th year where I'll be riding my bicycle a ridiculous amount of miles in support of this fantastic organization. I'm registered for the 100 mile (Century) ride this year. As many of you may know my sister Amanda Wolanske (https://www.facebook.com/donate/7418272311597217) will also be doing the ride as well. The good news is we are both raising money for a great cause, the bad news is she will have a faster time than me for sure... but it will be her FIRST century ride so three cheers all around for Team Wolanske (boooo, last year's century ride got rained out so we did 65miles).
The Ride For Roswell supports cutting-edge research and patient care programs for those afflicted with cancer. I started doing this ride to celebrate my father, Gary W. Wolanske, who had Brain Cancer in 1988. I continue doing this ride additionally to celebrate my friend from Buffalo Michael Kubiak who was diagnosed with Brain Cancer in 2020.
Roswell has announced promising results on a brain cancer vaccine "SurVaxM" where the research is partially funded from this ride and my hopes are that the work continues because of the money raised by the fundraising and participation of everyone in this ride.
As always, I realize we get hit up for donations just about every day. If this charitable effort strikes a chord with you and you want to make a donation to support my ride; I thank you in advance. If not please donate to the charity of your choice when given the opportunity.
"Never believe that a few caring people can't change the world. For, indeed, that's all who ever have." ~ Margaret Mead
May the wind be behind you and the road home downhill :)
Sincerely,
Gary R. Wolanske
