Dad is a cancer survivor. Each year that he participated in the Ride for Roswell, he proudly picked up his orange "Survivor" T shirt along with his ride packet.
Dad won his fight against lymphoma over 25 years ago. He's been living for years with Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia. This year he was diagnosed with Glioma, a type of cancer found in the brain. He is now in hospice care, at home and surrounded by love.
While Dad benefitted from the research and care provided by Roswell, riding next to him each year, I never got the sense that he was riding for himself. He was riding because the ride and the money he raised would help others.
I did my first Ride for Roswell with my Dad in 2014, and this will be my 10th year riding. As always, I'm riding to help support Roswell in their fight against cancer, but this year I'm riding for my Dad.
Please consider a donation to help support Roswell and the amazing work they do.
