WE DID IT!
See comments in blog post below. THANK YOU!
I am raising money for Roswell Park and I would like to invite you to help.
I know people who have battled cancer—and won. I know others have lost. Roswell Park helps people with cancer and is working hard to make sure it doesn’t get others. I like that.
I saw people lose their hair during their fight. Their bodies were weak and they couldn't do even the simplest things that everyone else does every day. Cancer needs to be stopped.
So on Wednesday, January 29, I’ll be shaving my head in front of my friends at Immaculate Conception to raise money for Roswell Park. Your pledge in support of my Bald for Bucks campaign will help Roswell find a cure—and it will help people who have cancer now.
Want to join in on the fun? Please make a donation by clicking the Donate Now button above. And thank you for being a part of my team!

We did it!
Update: We did it! On Wednesday Caitlin shaved my head in front of my class and the whole school. What an experience! Eyewitness News Channel 7 and Spectrum News were there, as well as photographers from the Buffalo News and the East Aurora Advertiser! (Must have been a slow news day!)
The best part - so far we've raised over $2,000, and some checks are still in the mail. A lot of that came from my school! Thanks, everyone! That next person helped or that next new discovery in the search for a cure are partly because of what we've done here.
This site will remain up for a while - so if you'd like to make a pledge, feel free!

We are oh so close to reaching our $1,000 goal - I am amazed! Thank you to all our friends and classmates!
With only one day to go, I'm getting nervous. It's a good thing all I need to do is sit still while Caitlin works her magic!
If you haven't given yet - there is still time. Its easy to do and whether you give one dollar or one hundred dollars, you will earn my gratitude and thanks! More importantly, your support will help Roswell both care for our friends and neighbors as well as find a cure.
Click the Donate Now button above, send in your gift to school, or mail it to me at home. Thank you again!

I came down with the flu yesterday. My body aches, I'm tired and I'm moody. The doc says I'll be fine soon, and this should in no way affect the big day on January 29, but its no fun being sick. I'm even missing a cub scout campout this weekend.
My dad sees irony in all this. I guess people who are being treated for cancer sometimes feel the same way as I do when I have the flu - but only 1,000% worse. I'll keep the flu, thank you.
So I'm drinking plenty of liquids, taking lots of naps, and just trying to get through this to the other side. Folks with cancer do the same, except with a lot more courage, toughness and perseverance,
Bald for Bucks is more than just a fundraiser. Its a demonstration of solidarity, its a display of empathy, its a tool for advocacy, and its a gesture of compassion.

What a great start! Thank you so much to everyone who has already made a pledge. You're the best!
Since we're so close to the original $500 goal, and we still have four or five days to go until the big day, mom & dad suggested we raise the goal to $1,000. That's an amazing number that could really make a difference for Roswell. But its also a little intimidating to me! So if you haven't had a chance to make a gift yet, please do! Thank you!
