Thank you for visiting our team page. We are excited to be riding together to end cancer in The Ride For Roswell. This is much more than a bike ride — it’s our commitment to create a world where no one has to fear a cancer diagnosis.
Whether you choose to join our team or make a donation, YOU are making a difference in the fight against cancer. You are helping to fuel cutting-edge cancer research and compassionate patient-care programs at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
We will be riding in honor of our four year old grandson, Nathan Jay Roberts. Nathan was diagnosed last July with a malignant brain tumor. He has fought back through two major surgeries, several days of chemotherapy and six weeks of daily radiation treatments at Roswell Park.
Roswell Park has been a wonderful support to Nathan Jay and his family. The staff is always understanding with all the surprises and challenges a four year old can bring! Each day as he entered Roswell for radiation he ran down the hall and was greeted with a big smile by Lynn at the registration desk and nurse, Michelle. Each staff member was compassionate as they prepared him for his daily treatment in the "magic room". His days receiving chemotherapy brought a variety of staff to help with his needs. Grandpa and Grandpa could not be more thankful for all the care he has received at Roswell Park.
We would appreciate any support you can give to Roswell Park. As parents, we have been impressed with the family support they have offered Nathan Jays parents, Nathan and Sarah and his two year old brother, Alexander.
Nathan Jay is our SUPERHERO!! Currently, he is not receiving any treatments and we are all looking forward to his pre-school graduation.
