I am participating in The Ride For Roswell on Saturday, June 23! This is much more than a bike ride for me — it’s my commitment to the fight to end cancer.
I am riding this 30 mile route in memory of my sister, Ashley Ernsting, who recently entered heaven after a long and hard-fought battle with NET cancer.
In all honesty, I am not sure I am completely ready to take this step as it is all still pretty raw. However, I also know that everyone grieves differently, and I feel compelled to do something and fight in her memory. She was such a fighter and an inspiration to so many people. I know she would be proud and supportive.
So, in Ashley’s memory and even on Ashley’s bike, I will ride 30 miles in the hopes that her legacy continues on, a cure for cancer is one day found, and that more people don’t have to suffer or witness a family/friend suffer from such a terrible disease.
Please help me raise critically needed funds for cutting-edge cancer research and compassionate patient-care programs at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
You can make a difference in the fight against cancer by supporting my fundraising efforts. In fact, for every dollar donated, Roswell Park can leverage an additional $13 in new grant funding!
Please consider making a donation today to help me reach (and exceed) my fundraising goal. Together, we can help find cancer cures and save lives.
