I am participating in The Ride For Roswell on Saturday June 22nd! This is much more than a bike ride for me- it's my committment to the fight to end cancer.
Two years ago I wash diagnosed with of Stage 4 Metastatic Ovarian Cancer. My entire life had changed in a few moments. As a nurse for 28 years, I knew from the looks on my doctors faces and the statistics, my prognosis was poor. I have proven that statistics are not everything. I have struggled with this disease but I have had a significant amount of quality time thanks to the amzing support of my family/ friends/ doctors and continued cancer developments..Last year I was too weak to ride so I volunteered. I am participating in a clinical trial now and feel well enough to ride this year. This bike ride means the world to me because I have been trying so very hard to run from my cancer and now I feel that because of ongoing cancer research , I can now RIDE For it!!
You can make a difference in the fight against cancer with me by supporting my fundraising efforts. Every dollar donated, Roswell Park can leverage an additional $13 in new grant funding.
Please join Kiki's Krusaders or make a donation today to help me reach (and exceed) my fundraising goal. Together, we can help find cancer and save lives.
