Riding with my favorite training partner in the trailer.
Starting in Staten Island and finishing at Niagra Falls, I will be riding my bike over 500 miles in a week. This is more than just a bike ride. I am participating in a cycling adventure across New York State to end cancer.

Everyone knows someone whose life has been affected by cancer, and this is my opportunity to change the state of cancer research for good. Together, we can fuel groundbreaking discoveries, find cancer cures and save lives. Would you please make a donation to my ride to support these discoveries?

Donations are made to Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, the 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that manages all donations made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute. The Foundation ensures that every donation is being put to the best possible use and earned the highest possible rating on Charity Navigator for its third consecutive year. Your donation can be claimed as a charitable deduction on your tax return.

Please consider making a donation today. No donation is too small, and every dollar adds up to something greater than any one of us could accomplish alone. The funds raised support cutting-edge cancer research at America’s first cancer center, Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, which provides treatment and care for more than 36,000 patients from 46 states and three foreign countries each year. Here are some of the highlights of the work being done at Roswell Park:
-Researchers at Roswell Park are committed to facilitating International Collaboration so that knowledge and resources are shared with leading researchers around the world.
-Roswell Park opened one of the first Clinical Research Centers in the nation that focuses specifically on the development of new cancer treatments. Currently, Roswell Park is leading the phase II trials for the SurVaxM brain cancer vaccine that involves four other centers, including Cleveland Clinic and Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. This groundbreaking trial is being funded entirely by donations to Roswell Park.
-Additionally, great strides have been made in Personalized Medicine, with a one-of-a-kind test developed at Roswell Park called OmniSeq ComprehensiveSM which allows doctors to make tailored treatment recommendations based on a patient’s individual genetic makeup.

This is the important work your donation will go towards supporting. Please let me know if you have any questions!

If you'd like to learn more about Roswell Park and the work I am fundraising for, check out their website at https://www.roswellpark.org/research .

Thank you for your support on my ride and in my fundraising efforts! Together we can make a difference in the fight against cancer.

NCAA Men's Basketball Boxes Fundraiser
To help diversify my fundraising efforts and give my generous supporters a chance to make some money too, I am running a NCAA Men's Basketball boxes pool. It's run just like Super Bowl boxes but instead of the Super Bowl, it is the Championship game of the NCAA Men's Basketball (Div. I) Tournament. No skill involved, just pure luck. Boxes are $20 each; winner of halftime score gets $400 and and winner of final score gets $600!
If all boxes are sold this means an additional $1,000 is donated to Roswell Park through my Empire State Ride fundraising page!!
If you are interested in getting a box (or several) please text me at 518-697-9133. Championship game is April 2nd, 2018 so boxes must be bought by April 1st.

Every Little Bit Helps
Chances are you know someone affected by cancer. And I bet you would love to help. But maybe money is a little tight right now. I've been there! (And am still sometimes there!) I want you to know this: Every. Little. Bit. Helps. If you can only stretch a dollar this week, then donate a dollar!
There have been times I have literally donated a dollar. I saw a cause that was important and needed my help but I was pretty strapped. At first I felt silly donating just a dollar. But then I saw what happened. Someone else saw it was ok to just post a dollar if they were tight on money, and they donated a dollar. Then someone else did! And those dollars added up!
I encourage you to donate in any way you can, even if that's just a dollar!
Thanks for helping me fight against cancer!
-Ana
