This summer I am participating in a 500+ mile bike ride to help raise money for cancer research.
I am riding to honor my mother, Sandy Baker, who died from leukemia when I was 9 years old. Over the past few years cycling has become one of my biggest life interests, and I am pleased to have this opportunity to challenge myself physically and mentally while fighting for a cause that affects so many.
New York City -----> Niagara Falls, NY
July 30th -----> August 5th.
Accommodations consist of camp sites and school gymnasiums.

Every year 14 million people worldwide learn that they have cancer. One-third of all types of cancer can be cured if detected early and adequately treated. Roswell Park Cancer Institute focuses on bringing breakthroughs in cancer reasearch out of the lab and into treatment facilities, by conducting new research studies and developing innovative patient care programs. Roswell Park can leverage every $1 donated with an additional $13 in grant funding, multiplying the impact of your generosity.
The video linked below offers one example of the work they do:
I'm looking forward to this once-in-a-lifetime adventure, and appreciate any contributions that my friends and family can make toward my minimum fundraising goal.
