I’m Goin’ Bald for Bucks to help in the fight against cancer! I will be shorning (to donate) and shaving my hair to raise critically needed funds for compassionate, innovative patient-care programs at 13thirty Cancer Connect and cancer research at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and Wilmot Cancer Institute. My goal is to raise $1,000.00!
My first experience with cancer was in high school. My friend Brad was diagnosed with lymphoma our Senior year. We had several classes together, so a few friends and I visited him at Roswell to catch him up on school work (ugh, calculus!) during inpatient chemo. I remember telling Brad that I'd shave my head when he lost his hair. I didn't do it.
Despite having been sick, Brad graduated Valedictorian of our class and went on to college. He came out of remission and passed away the following year.
Since then, I've known coworkers, friends, and family members who have fought the battle. Cancer is a disease that touches everyone, and I want to make a difference. You can help me make a difference by supporting my efforts in Goin’ Bald for Bucks. Please consider making a donation today. No donation is too small, and every dollar adds up to something greater than any one of us could accomplish alone. Together, we can help find cancer cures and save lives.
Brad, I'm finally doing it!
