Roswell Park Day of Giving 2019

Stomach Cancer

Welcome to our team page for Roswell Park’s first-ever Day of Giving. We’re excited for this 24-hour give-a-thon!

Why?

Because our Day of Giving is an opportunity for you to direct your donation to research areas that mean the most to you, and by giving to stomach cancer research, you can make a huge impact for patients facing this disease.

About 27,510 cases of stomach cancer will be diagnosed this year, and 11,140 people will die from this type of cancer. The exact reasons why a person develops stomach cancer are unknown; however, several risk factors that could lead to the development of this cancer have been discovered through research. The stomach cancer team at Roswell Park is dedicated to providing assessments, testing and comprehensive genetic consultation to reduce one’s risk.

Here at Roswell Park, donations allow us to pursue and advance research, bring the latest treatment options to our patients and help them maintain the best possible quality of life. Our team is committed to increasing survival rates, developing new treatments, providing access to new therapies through clinical trials and offering supportive services for our patients throughout their cancer journey.

But we need your help! Please consider making a donation today as part of our Day of Giving. The support of generous donors like you allows us to stay on the cutting edge of stomach cancer research under the leadership of Dr. Steven Hochwald and to provide compassionate care to all our patients.

On behalf of the patients and families we serve, thank you for making a difference.
