Information Gathered and Used

Accessing the Website to register for an event or to make a donation to the RPAF may require you to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information (if fees apply), and other personal information applicable to the event/purpose. The information you provide us through the Website in these instances: (i) permits us to maintain visitor profiles on the Website for visitor preference customization; (ii) affords us an opportunity to provide a faster method for visitors to submit information to, and receive information from us; and (iii) allows us to solicit and collect donations.

The RPAF does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to third parties the personally identifiable information that visitors voluntarily provide in any registration or donation submission on its Website. We may, however, provide this information in a de-identified and aggregate form to third parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses. Personally identifiable information collected through the Website is used by the RPAF to support related transactions made on the Website and for communication purposes between Website visitors and the RPAF. The RPAF’s email newsletter contains instructions on how to discontinue receipt of the newsletter and any RPAF email receiver may, at any time, discontinue receipt of RPAF emails by replying to any RPAF email and typing “UNSUBSCRIBE” in the subject heading of the reply email. At no time will we send mail or email to you on behalf of third parties.

The RPAF also automatically gathers certain Website usage information, such as the number and frequency of visitors to the Website and its pages. We use such usage data only in the aggregate for the purpose of improving the Website.

The RPAF implements a variety of security measures designed to promote a safe and secure online experience. Personally identifiable information is maintained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of authorized persons. We use a secure server and all sensitive and personal payment cardholder information supplied by Website visitors is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer or other standard security encryption technology and then encrypted into our payment processor’s gateway to be processed for payment. The RPAF staff does not have access to this gateway.
